The Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments is governed by a Board of Directors, as outlined in our By-Laws and supported through annual membership dues. The Board of Directors meets quarterly and addresses operating business for the agency. A nine-member Executive Committee, appointed by the Board of Directors, meets monthly to ensure consistent management of ongoing business and provide oversight of the agency.

INRCOG also acts as an umbrella agency for several other organizations and their various boards, committees, and commissions. Our staff performs administrative, financial, and program management services for three housing trust funds; a regional economic development commission, formed under 28E of the Iowa Code; and the Metropolitan Planning Organization and Regional Transportation Authority.
